Easy Weight Loss Guidelines For On-The-Go Moms

When you are a mom on the run, it is hard to make time for yourself, let alone time to actually exercise and eat right. Today's moms have more to do than ever and even less time to do it. This makes it easy to notice that the jeans are a little tighter this year or that you aren't as fit as you used to be. Just a few simple tips on how to lose weight fast can help keep you from packing on the weight without taking up too much of your time.

Stop eating the leftover food on your kid's plate after mealtimes. This is one of the hardest things for some to do, because wasting perfectly good food is just not in their nature. And besides, they didn't have time to properly eat their own meal. However, you need to break that habit and get rid of the food, no matter how perfectly good it is. Those invisible calories will eventually show up on your waistline before you know it

However, say yes to eating like a kid. Ignore the "clean your plate" rule as easily as your kids do by only eating till you are full. You don't need to stuff yourself to satisfy your hunger, and it is much healthier for you in the long run. If you absolutely hate to leave anything on the plate, then start using kid's size plates. That way you can clean your plate because the portions are much smaller and you'll still feel satisfied.

Say no to talking on the phone in the kitchen, especially if you know you are going to reach for the cookies while doing so. How many times have you been talking on the phone only to discover a snack in your hand, half eaten, with no clue on how it got there? When you need to talk on the phone, walk around in another room or go outside, avoid the kitchen like the plague.

Go ahead and eat a proper breakfast. Kids are not the only ones that need to start the day off right with a good breakfast, moms and dads need to do it also. This will help raise your metabolism so you burn more calories during the day and cuts down on snacking.

Don't eat straight out of the bag or box. Doing that totally throws portion control out of the window and before you know it, you are left with an empty container wondering how it got that way. Always pour yourself a serving, doesn't matter the size, so you can see exactly how much you are eating.

Occasionally when you're working toward fat loss, say yes to treating yourself to something sweet or "evil". Don't deprive yourself of everything deemed bad in a good diet. When you deprive yourself, you end up binging on that "bad" thing and regretting it later. The next time you get your kids ice cream, indulge yourself in a kid's size cone, that way you satisfy your craving without overindulging.

Not being able to put yourself first makes it hard to maintain a healthy diet and, at times, a healthy weight. You can't fight the battle of the bulge if you don't make a few small changes. These simple tips on how to lose weight fast will help you win the battle without starving yourself, all while achieving fat loss at the same time.
