by Jen Hopkins

Beautiful people are everywhere we look. Magazines, television and movies are filled with beautiful people that look as thought they never age. Many women often wonder what the secret is to seemingly eternal youth. The most popular product on women's daily routine is anti wrinkle cream. Do wrinkle creams really work?

The main reason we wrinkle is because of age. As we get older our skin cells divide. This causes our skin to become "loose." The older you get, the harder it is for your skin to repair itself. This makes the sagging hard to stop.

Environmental factors can lead to wrinkles. Excessive sun exposure, smoking and environmental pollutants can greatly affect our skin in a harmful way. Smoking and secondhand smoke is extremely hazardous to our skin. The toxin that smoking emits is known to cause and excel deterioration of the skin. Killing skin cells and causing wrinkles.

To battle the wrinkles you can use creams, have a facelift, and get injections. Even though injections are populare right now there are health risks involved. The injections are toxins released in the body and not really worht having this done.

Facelifts are popular, but not as easy for everyone to have done. The risks are great with facelifts in many areas. There are a vast amount of scams associated with doctors and procedures. Finding a trustworthy doctor to perform the procedure may be an impossible task. It is also a painful process, leaving the face bruised and swollen. This can last for several months and sometimes the outcome is less that favorable.

Then we ask again, do wrinkle creams really work? The trick to this is to find the right one. There are many perscription creams available as well as over the counter creams. Always read the label to make sure you are using as safe, but effective cream.

Vitamin A is an important ingredient to look for because it has antioxidants that are very useful. Not only does it help the way your skin looks, it also makes it soft and smooth. If you are pregnant, you should always check with your doctor before using anything with vitamin A.

So to answer if anti-wrinkle creams really work, well you will have to try them for yourself. With any of the ways you choose to tackle your wrinkles, always do research first. Make sure you find a safe yet effective way to find your own eternal youth secret.
